The PF code means Power Failure, which means the control is saying its not being supplied with the proper voltage or there was a power failure while in operation. It sounds like you may have gotten the PF code after the power was killed to the machine.

The most common reasons your Kenmore Elite washer has no power are a malfunctioning electronic control board, faulty user interface or a broken motor.

There can be several reasons why your Kenmore washer is not turning on. It might be a power supply issue or a faulty power outlet. Another possibility could be a malfunctioning door switch that prevents the washer from starting as it doesn't recognize the door as closed.
